This past Thursday we went Strawberry picking! We didn't go last year, but went the two previous years. It's something I hope to do annually. It's a lot of fun, something different and provides me with plenty of frozen strawberries to last us a while!
Mal had off Thursday, so we planned for the two of us to take the boys. Before we got going, Jonathan called from work and asked if he could please join us! So we met him there...what a nice surprise for the boys!
It was another BEAUTIFUL day (really, our Spring has been amazing!) and it was lovely to be outside. We had a lot of buckets, but really filled 3. Mal had one full one to take home and we had 2 overflowing by the end.

Getting started...Mal is a few rows back and Caleb, Aaron and I were finding some good ones. |

Aaron was too distracted by amazing looking strawberries to say cheese! |

All of our delicious strawberries! |
We had enough to bring angel food cake, whipped cream and strawberries to GG, Papa and Derrill and our friends Aaron and Brandy to enjoy that evening as well as some for ourselves and freeze several trays to use in smoothies. Is there anything better than picking the food you eat that evening? YUM!
After getting home, I took a look at our two strawberry picking trips from a few years ago...I can't believe how little Caleb was! I linked them up below if you're interested : )
