Last day of PWS - Field Trip to Bayou Wildlife Reserve

Thursday was officially our last day of PeeWee School for the year. Instead of having our usual water day activities, we had a school field trip to the Bayou Wildlife Reserve in Alvin. The boys and I had been before with family, but it was Jonathan's first visit. We've had a beautiful, mild spring here this year, but summer decided to hit us this week. It was pretty hot and humid so we didn't last too long, but we still had a great time checking out all the animals.

On the tram
Peewee the Rino
This guy was hungry!
There were lots of babies this time! Loved spotting so many of them!
The four of us
Aaron had fun moving food from one bucket to the other
Giraffes! One of our favorites
I had never seen an animal with four distinct horns before...it looks like a mystical creature!
You can see bits of flying food!
Caleb got a cute pic of Aaron
Caleb was much braver this time, he loved feeding animals
Hi
PeeWee school brought animal crackers for the kids to enjoy as they got off the tram (after some hand sanitizing of course!)
Yum
Caleb got to ride a horse
He looks so big!
Beautiful!

Aaron and Daddy
We decided to find somewhere a little less crowded (and with fewer animals) to enjoy our lunch. It was also a good excuse to get in the air conditioned car for a bit! We drove over to League City park to eat our picnic lunch and play at the playground for a short while before heading home for Aaron's nap and some nice down time after a very busy week!

Yummy lunch
Caleb's favorite spot to play
Silly Aaron
3 swinging monkeys!
We had a  blast on our field trip with school! Now we're ready for summer break before the kids head back to school in the fall. Let's bring on summer!
