Aaron: 4 months

We have a 4 month old, which means I know longer have time to keep up with the blog like I have been! It's truly as if he knew he turned 4 months old last week and suddenly decided to start requiring more of our time and focus.

Aaron is such a bundle of energy! If he's awake, he's active. He rotates between his exersaucer and the floor. In the exersaucer he bounces, turns in full circles, and plays with the toys around him.

On the floor he's constantly rolling and beginning to slowly scoot backwards. Every once in a while he gets in the mood to be held a lot, but he's typically content being down. 

And when that energy finally runs out...he crashes! 

Today we started putting him in his crib while he's awake so that he can fall asleep on his own. We had been doing that in the swing for some time, but recently he's started to need more help falling asleep. Since he's been more fussy while going down for naps, I wasn't sure how he'd do in his crib. The first time he cried off and on for about 10 minutes before falling asleep. The next two times he didn't cry at all. (Maybe 1 or 2 peeps...but not even enough to say he cried) We'll see how he does for the next few days, but I'm hoping this sticks and we won't have to work so hard to get him to sleep. 

I took Aaron to his 4 month appointment last Wednesday. The doc says he's doing great. He's continuing  to grow and develop right on schedule if not a tad bit early. 

Stats for this month are:

Height: 24 3/4" (62nd percentile)

Weight: 14 lbs 6.5 oz (58th percentile)

Aaron is already outgrowing his 3-6 month outfits, so I've been working on pulling out the 6-9 month clothes. It's hard to believe he's growing so quickly. 

We love our little man so much! He's such a happy, smiley, giggly little boy. I think we'll keep him a bit longer : )
